Kate Middleton and Prince William attended the Platinum Jubilee Pageant with their three children — Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis — Sunday. However, it was their youngest child who stole the show with his cheeky behavior and antics.

Kate Middleton Criticized For Failing To Control Son Prince Louis

The Duchess of Cambridge has dedicated most of her work to help parents and kids. However, Prince Louis' behavior at the Platinum Jubilee raised some eyebrows, with many even questioning Kate Middleton's parenting.

On Sunday's event, the 4-year-old royal was seen making faces. At one point, many felt that the toddler didn't listen to his mom and instead put his hand on her mouth.

News.com.au shared some of the reactions on social media, with many calling out the duchess.

"At what point do we go from ‘wow, what a relatable toddler moment’ to ‘wow, you have no control of your children?’ Because that video is (cringe emoji)," one wrote.

"What’s cute now isn’t cute as a teen," added another, suggesting that Middleton had some shortcomings. "Parents have a short window to create the parent child bond. Meaning parents need to set boundaries n stick to them."

"If that’s the lack of discipline and boundaries they’re raised with then I guess that’s how you get adults like William," another wrote. "Harry is truly a miracle."

Kate Middleton Receives Support From Other Parents

While many were quick to judge Prince William's wife, many also rallied to defend her. For them, kids have attitudes that are sometimes beyond their parents' control. Several also said Prince Louis acted just like anyone his age.

"Anyone picking on Prince Louis has had no experience with 4-year-olds. Period," one Twitter user wrote.

"No power on Earth can stop a kid being a kid. Not even a mother. But a lot can be done to stop the sociopaths that attack the mother. I love that photo that shows the Queen smiling, thinking him pulling faces was funny," another added.

Kerri Sackville of the Sydney Morning Herald wrote an op-ed supporting the Duchess of Cambridge. According to her, she could relate to the royal mom because she has three kids, and one of them never needed discipline, another was easy to manage, and the other one "was damn nigh impossible."

"I read the books, I listened to the podcasts, I consulted the experts, and still that kid had tantrums in public and said inappropriate things to strangers. ('Hello, fat old lady!')," she added.

She continued, "Like Kate, I copped enormous judgment for my kid’s behaviour. But that kid is now a magnificent adult. Chances are, Louis will be too. Kate, I stand in solidarity with you."

While the critics only saw Prince Louis seemingly having tantrums, there were also photos of the little prince hugging his mom and kissing Middleton on the cheek.

What can you say about Prince Louis' behavior at the pageant? Is it right to question Kate Middleton's parenting for it?
