Kate Middleton and Prince William are two of the most active members of the royal family. As a matter of fact, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have been actively gracing events and doing their royal duties amid the pandemic.
However, Kate Middleton and Prince William are also facing a number of controversies, including their alleged strained relationship with Meghan Markle and Prince Harry. It was previously claimed that the Cambridge couple is one of the many reasons why the Duke and Duchess of Sussex decided to ditch the royal life for good.
New reports claimed that Kate Middleton was forced to counteract the scandals that have been impacting the Firm, including Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s infamous “Megxit,” and Prince Andrew’s alleged involvement in the Jeffrey Epstein scandal. Keep on reading to know more details.
Kate Middleton Maintaining ‘Wholesome Brand’ To Counteract Meghan Markle And Prince Harry?
Royal Fever co-author Cele Otnes, as per Express UK, claimed that Kate Middleton and Prince William have been giving off a “stable and wholesome brand persona,” which she claimed to be in direct contrast to that of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry. The royal expert furthered that the Cambridge couple’s “steadying force” contrasts other scandals that have been impacting the royal family.
Cele Otnes told the publication:
“Of course, this means that her life with William and the children is not necessarily portrayed as the most riveting of narratives – but the stable and wholesome brand persona that William and Kate's family projects are exactly what is needed to counteract that of Meghan and Harry. In fact, by being a steadying force in the monarchy, Kate's actions provide a stark contrast to the unsettling and sometimes scandalous other narratives within the royal brand (Harry/Meghan, Prince Andrew).”
The royal expert went on to say that Kate Middleton played a vital role in upholding the image of the monarchy amid this chaotic time. Cele added that the wife of Prince William has “risen above” the incidents and has helped “hone” the image of the monarchy.
Of Kate Middleton, Cele Otnes said:
“Obviously, there has been a lot of drama in the monarchy, and Kate seems to have risen above it -- helping to dilute the metaphor of the monarchy as soap opera and to hone the metaphor of the monarchy as stabilizing force.”
Most, if not all, royal fans can recall that Kate Middleton hosted a festive Christmas carol concert in December 2021. The Duchess of Cambridge even surprised her devoted supporters when she debuted her musical talents by planning piano for a musical performance together with Tom Walker.
Kate Middleton also played an important role in the inaugural Earthshot Prize Awards, which allowed her and husband, Prince William, to fund a cause. It also gave the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge an opportunity to map out the direction for the next generation of royals.
Kate Middleton Paid Tribute To Princess Diana And Queen Elizabeth In Her 40th Birthday Photos
Meanwhile, Kate Middleton turned 40 on Sunday, Jan. 9. The Duchess of Cambridge celebrated her milestone birthday by releasing a series of astonishing portraits.
In the snaps taken by Italian fashion photographer Paolo Roversi, Kate Middleton donned three Alexander McQueen looks and paired each of the ensembles with accessories that subtly paid tribute to Princess Diana and Queen Elizabeth.
The first photograph featured Kate Middleton in an ethereal white tulle gown with an off-the-shoulder neckline. The Duchess of Cambridge completed the look with a pair of pearl earrings that previously belonged to Princess Diana and her sapphire engagement ring.
The second image showed Kate Middleton sporting a gorgeous one-shoulder dress in a vibrant shade of red. The wife of Prince William smiled directly into the camera with her glittering diamond earrings, which are said to be on loan from the jewelry collection of Queen Elizabeth.
The third photo featured Kate Middleton donning another white ruffled gown with her hairstyle in relaxed waves. The said images, which will enter the permanent collection of Britain’s National Portrait Gallery, were taken in November 2021 at the Royal Botanic Gardens in London.
An unnamed Palace source claimed that Kate Middleton had a “modest” celebration while being surrounded by her loved ones. The tipster told Closer Weekly:
"She'll be spending it with the people she loves most – her family. [Prince William has] arranged a romantic out-of-town getaway in January, for just the two of them."
