Kate Middleton and Prince William were allegedly feuding with the Queen when the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were still expecting their third baby, Prince Louis.

Kate Middleton And Prince William Allegedly Had An Icy Row With The Queen

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge stepped up after the Duke and Duchess of Sussex stepped down from their royal duties. Prince William and Kate Middleton, the future king and queen consort, have since taken more duties and attended more royal engagements.

Several royal sources said in previous interviews that the Queen was grateful for the Cambridges. However, it was allegedly not the case all the time.

In 2017, the monarch was allegedly not impressed with the royal couple. At the time, Middleton was pregnant with their third child. The duchess wanted to scale back at her duties. Prince William was supportive of his wife, but the Queen didn't like the idea that much and was allegedly "livid."

"Kate wants her public appearances kept to a minimum and he’s 100 percent behind her," an unnamed source told Life and Style Magazine (via Express). "The conversation was quite icy."

Kate Middleton And Prince William's Relationship With The Queen

There is not enough evidence about the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge feuding with the Queen. Whether that happened or not, there is no doubt that the Cambridges and the Queen are enjoying a great relationship.

Prince William and Middleton even planned to spend the holidays with Queen Elizabeth II. However, they were not able to pursue it because Her Majesty had a change of heart.

Queen Elizabeth II decided to spend Christmas and New Year in Windsor Castle to avoid traveling to Sandringham due to the rising cases of COVID-19. Meanwhile, Prince William and Middleton spent the holidays at their country home, Norfolk, which is near the Queen's Sandringham estate.

Despite the distance, Prince William and Middleton made a way to let the Queen know that they remembered her. They had a Zoom call with the Queen and it made her day.
