Kate Middleton and Prince William, and Prince Charles are allegedly moving into their new homes. There are rumors that the Cambridges are moving to Windsor Castle and the Prince of Wales will be relocating to Buckingham Palace.

Kate Middleton, Prince William And Prince Charles Moving To New Homes?

Prince Charles reportedly believed that he should reside in Buckingham Palace because it's where the monarch resides, so he wanted to relocate there, Daily Mail reported.

"HRH's view is that you need a monarch at monarchy HQ. This has never been in doubt," an unnamed source told the outlet. "Just like the Queen, it will effectively be in the 'flat above the shop.' He feels it is right, just as the Queen does, to work out of Buckingham Palace."

Prince Charles and his wife, Camilla Parker Bowles, currently live in Clarence House — the former residence of the Queen Mother in Westminster. However, an insider said, Prince Charles won't move to Buckingham Palace unless he is the crowned king. So, he will wait until it's his time to reign.

Meanwhile, Prince William and Kate Middleton will reportedly inherit Windsor Castle as their home. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have been living in Kensington Palace since 2017.

Meghan Markle, Prince Harry Allegedly Wanted To Move To Windsor Castle

Meanwhile, previous reports claimed that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex wanted to move to Windsor Castle. The royal couple wanted a bigger space to grow their family after their royal wedding in 2018. They allegedly approached Queen Elizabeth Ii if they could move to Windsor Castle.

However, the Queen allegedly found the proposal "inappropriate" because the castle has been home to the British kings and queens for almost 1,000 years. It's also the monarch's official residence. So, Queen Elizabeth II offered the Sussexes the Frogmore Cottage instead, according to Sunday Times.
