Kate Middleton And Prince William’s Wedding Almost Ruined Because Of This

Express UK reported that one happening before the wedding day of Kate Middleton and Prince William almost ruined the ceremony. Like most of the brides, the mother of Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis wanted to keep details of her wedding dress as private as possible until she walked down the aisle.

However, despite the Duchess of Cambridge’s best efforts to keep the designer of her wedding gown a secret, the news got out to the public. Royal fans around the globe learned that the designer of Kate Middleton’s wedding gown is Sarah Burton of Alexander McQueen.

A royal commentator claimed that the leaked details made Kate Middleton cry days before her wedding with Prince William. Speaking on a Channel 5 documentary called Secrets of the Royal Dressmakers, Kate Nicholl claimed that the leaked intel really upset the Duchess of Cambridge.

The royal expert stated:

"Behind the scenes, I think that caused tears at the Palace because Kate had done everything she could to keep the wedding dress a secret."

To recall, details about the wedding gown of Kate Middleton were published in the Sunday Times two months before the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were meant to marry. The publication revealed that Sarah Burton was the designer, including the reasons why the wife of Prince William decided to have her design the dress for their big day.

At the time, Sunday Times reported:

"She was selected by Middleton, who is making increasing efforts to develop her own style, on grounds of her quirky elegance, discretion, and low profile. A fashion source said that the dress will be a combination of Middleton's own design ideas and Burton's deep knowledge and understanding of high fashion. Middleton had hoped to keep Burton's name quiet until the wedding."

Sarah Burton, for her part, denied any involvement in the leaked wedding detail until she was officially announced as the designer on Kate Middleton and Prince William’s wedding day. The designer was even present on the day to help style the duchess ahead of the ceremony.

Though the details of the designer were leaked days before the wedding, Kate Middleton did not appear to be affected at all. The better half of Prince William, as a matter of fact, looked so happy on so many levels during that day.

Most, if not all, royal fans can recall that Kate Middleton’s wedding dress featured an ivory satin bodice that was padded slightly at the hips and narrowed at the waist part. Sarah Burton used traditional Carrickmacross craftsmanship to make the ensemble, which is a technique used in the 1800s. The ivory silk tulle was also adorned with individual lace roses, thistles, daffodils, and shamrocks.

Kate Middleton Received 50 Roses From Prince William On Valentine’s Day

Meanwhile, an unnamed source revealed that Prince William has Kate Middleton a total of 50 roses on Valentine’s Day. Speaking to Us Weekly, the tipster claimed:

"William surprised Kate with a huge box of 50 roses on Valentine’s Day. He handwrote the most romantic message in his card, praising her for being such a wonderful wife and mother."

The same royal insider also explained the Cambridge family is not into luxurious celebrations these days, saying:

"William and Kate are homebodies, so their date nights tend to be chill. They’ll watch Netflix and documentaries when the children are in bed, order takeout, play Scrabble and enjoy a few glasses of wine. For them, it’s the simple things in life that count."

Despite the cheating allegations that hounded Prince William and Kate Middleton’s marriage last year, a body language expert suggested that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are stronger than ever these days.

Darren Staton told Marie Claire:

"They are more than comfortable with one another and around each other, so much so that they don’t feel a need to constantly be tactile. This can be taken as a show of strength as the pair are happy to operate as individuals despite attending events as a pair. At one point, William was seen leaning closely into Kate to talk to her on a more personal level—a gesture that demonstrates how they are more than happy to have each other in close proximity alludes to the strengthened rapport between them and suggests they are a very strong couple indeed."
