Kate Middleton is being criticized by some royal fans after a video of her being reminded about the seating arrangement inside Westminster Abbey during Queen Elizabeth’s funeral surfaced online.
Kate Middleton Seemingly Forgot To Give Way To Meghan Markle And Prince Harry
In the clip, Prince William and Kate Middleton are walking in front of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. So, it was only natural for the Prince and Princess of Wales to arrive in their row inside Westminster Abbey first.
But Prince William had to remind his wife that she needed to give way to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex first before they could all sit together.
Royal Fans Slammed Kate Middleton For Forgetting The Seating Arrangement During Queen Elizabeth’s Funeral
7news.com.au published some of the comments from royal fans regarding the mistake that Middleton committed. Some of them accused the Princess of Wales of being the real problem amid her alleged feud with Prince Harry and Markle.
Others also sarcastically questioned if Middleton did not have any idea what the seating arrangement was because she tried to go ahead of Markle.
“That moment when William told Kate to back off and let Harry and Meghan go first,” one royal fan wrote.
“The Princess of Wales didn’t understand the seating assignments? It’s not a hard job,” a second royal fan said.
Some royal fans also noticed how Markle bowed her head as she made her way past Middleton and Prince William. They described the moment as an almost awkward encounter between the Duchess of Sussex and her in-laws.
Others also saw Middleton give Prince Harry a side glance, which they thought was a shade.
“What’s that glance she’s giving Harry?” one royal fan commented.
“She didn’t look too pleased with having to make way for them. Regardless of how William feels he still sticks to the rules,” a fourth person said.
Meghan Markle Seemed Like A Fish Out Of Water During Queen Elizabeth’s Funeral
Psychotherapist and human behavior expert Dr. Robi Ludwig told Fox News that Markle seemed like a fish out of water during her latest outing with the royal family.
Prince Harry’s wife wore an oversized hat to Queen Elizabeth’s funeral, and Ludwig believes that Markle used this as her personal shield to help her disengage entirely from what was happening around her.
Markle also kept her hands clutched in front of her while waiting to be seated. This was an indication that she closed off while trying to comfort herself at the same time.
“I don’t think this is what she anticipated. Meghan Markle did not consider the cause and effect of her actions and how this could come to harm her. Harry has to focus on his wife, indicated by his body language of holding her hand and leaning toward her. Meghan is using the hat to hide, a very different presentation style than she's exhibited in the past. She is looking down because she feels the disapproval and is out of her element,” he said.
