Kate Middleton and Prince Harry have seemingly maintained their close bond despite the reported feud between the Duke of Sussex and Prince of Wales. The Princess of Wales even contacted her brother-in-law to meet his kids in the United States, according to a report.
Kate Middleton Wanted To Meet Prince Harry And Meghan Markle's Children In The US?
The Prince and Princess of Wales had a three-day trip to Boston last week. Meanwhile, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were only a few hours' drive away because they had a glittering gala in New York. The future queen consort reportedly reached out to Prince William's brother to see his kids Archie, 3, and Lilibet, 1.
"Regardless of what has happened in the past with Harry and Meghan, Kate desperately wanted to have a visit with their children," an anonymous source told New Idea.
"Kate loves kids, whether they're her own, her nieces and nephews, or the children she raises money for through her charities. She meets kids every single day and finds it absurd and a little sad that she hasn't spent any time with Harry's little girl."
Middleton, 40, and Prince Harry, 38, reportedly have "infrequent contact." She contacted Prince Harry leading up to their mutual events.
"She asked Harry if there was any way they could meet. She was willing to carve out a few hours of her time in Boston to meet Harry in New York, even if it was only for 20 minutes, which is really unprecedented given her rank above the Sussexes as the future Queen," the source continued.
There was no mention of Prince William being on board with his wife's idea. But Prince Harry reportedly agreed to a private meeting because they were always close in the U.K. and Middleton only met his kids briefly when they flew to his home country in June for the Queen's Platinum Jubilee celebration.
"At the end of the day, Harry loves Kate, and feels his kids deserve to know her," the tipster continued.
It was unclear if the reportedly meeting really happened. So, one should take the report with a grain of salt.
Kate Middleton Is Reportedly Like A Sister To Prince Harry, Expert Claims
Prince William, Kate Middleton and Prince Harry were inseparable before the latter married Meghan Markle. The Duke of Sussex was always with the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, which was why they were dubbed "the royal trio." Some even joked that Markle's husband was the Prince and Princess of Wales' third wheel.
"He was delighted his big bro was getting married and I think the two brothers were very close at that stage," Emily Andrews, royal correspondent for The Sun, said in Real Royalty's documentary.
"We forget how long they were a little threesome. We got used to seeing Kate and her two princes really and obviously, they got on very well," author and journalist Eve Polland added.
"Kate is like Harry's big sister. You know, he had talked about getting advice from her, she always kind of looked after him," broadcaster Carole Malone shared. "The three of them spend a lot of time together. They were always laughing. The three of them. They were like this little close-knit trio."
The experts agreed that Prince William, Middleton and Prince Harry get along really well and attended a lot of engagements together. Prince Harry reportedly joked about being the spare wheel when he was with the Prince and Princess of Wales.
Unfortunately, there was a divide after he married Meghan Markle. Royal fans thought the royal trio would be a fab four, but it didn't materialize.
