Karl Urban Teases Possible Return in Judge Dredd Spin-Off Series

It may have been several years but fans still believe that Karl Urban's portrayal of Judge Dredd was the best thing that ever happened to the character. But is there any chance that we'll get to see Dredd again in Mega-City One? Urban has just teased on the possibility that he will reprise the role in the highly anticipated spin-off series.

Urban recently spoke to Screen Geek where he admitted that he was still very interested in revisiting his role from the 2012 film.

"Well, listen, it's very, very early to get into any specifics on that, but I've gone on the record before saying that I would love to come back and be a part of that world and tell more Dredd stories," Urban said. "There is just a plethora of great, great stories within the Judge Dredd universe."

So is he going to be on the show? Urban chose to play coy but he also admitted that he trusts Rebellion CEO Jason Kingsley and everyone involved in the project.

"I think that Jason and his team – I think that the legacy of Judge Dredd is in great hands. And if I get the opportunity to work with those guys, you can bet your bottom dollar I will be there – because I think that it would be just a real rich and rewarding experience for, not only for us to collaborate, but for the fans," he said.

That's not a direct yes but it's not a direct no either. For now, we'll have to keep our fingers crossed and hope that Mega-City One will feature Urban's Judge Dredd.

Urban will return as Billy Butcher in The Boys Season 2, which premieres on Amazon Prime on September 4.
