Justice League May See Green Lantern Cameo

If there was one DC hero that received a lot of flak, it would have to be Green Lantern. Granted, the movie had been one of the worst, whether it's based on the CG effects, the storyline or even the casting—why waste Ryan Reynolds on Hal Jordan, right?

However, DC's much-awaited and hyped film Justice League may see the ring wielders in the blockbuster movie. According to The Wrap, the Green Lantern Corps may be making an appearance in a key moment in the movie.

Of course, that's not to say that the Green Lantern Corps will be a major part of the upcoming team-up movie. The actual standalone movie is still four years in the making, so it's possible that the cameo may be more of a buildup for these heroes than an actual significant role in Justice League.

It may also be a good way to test the waters and see the kind of reaction the viewers will have of another Green Lantern appearance. I myself have become allergic to the thought of another Green Lantern movie. That's why the announcement of Aquaman (as Jason Momoa, of course) as part of the Justice League instead of Hal Jordan, I was significantly happier.

Had the lineup included Green Lantern at the get-go, it may trigger the panic that we all suffered at the hands of messed up CG and planning from five years ago.

Justice League will be out in theaters on Nov. 16, 2017.
