Jessica Jones Star Krysten Ritter Comments on Series' Cancellation

Netflix has officially canceled Jessica Jones and The Punisher, with many fans sad that there is officially no Marvel representation on the popular streaming service. While these shows might not be dead for long, Disney has its own streaming service, after all, this does seem like the end for now and many are rightfully upset about it. While Netflix will still show the third season of Jessica Jones, Krysten Ritter has commented on the series getting the ax.

Ritter went on Instagram and has thanked everyone involved with the show, stating that the role has been a dream for her. She also thanks fans, as is one to do, and states that they are the best that anyone could ask for, which is really sweet. What fans really found interesting is that she said there is "more to come," which a lot of fans are interpreting as something hopeful for the future of these shows.

Of all the Marvel first seasons, many often view Jessica Jones as the best one. It had a truly diabolical villain in Killgrave, some great characterization for Jones, and some surprisingly deep side characters. The second season faltered a bit, with many feeling that pacing was a bit too slow but many felt it was still serviceable.

We'll have to wait and see how the third season of this show goes. This and Daredevil are the only ones that were able to reach season e as The Punisher, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist only lasted till season 2.

The final season of Jessica Jones comes out later this year.
