Ellen Pompeo Has Some Concerns Regarding Jennifer Lopez, Ben Affleck’s Relationship
Globe, in its Jan. 3 issue, claimed that Affleck’s friends, particularly Ellen Pompeo, are urging him to pump his brakes when it comes to settling down with Lopez.
An unnamed source said that Pompeo is worried that Affleck and Lopez could end up divorcing shortly after they tie the knot. The actor’s pals are also concerned about the possibility of Affleck cheating on Lopez because of his complicated past.
“Ellen doesn’t want to see Ben rush into marriage. She thinks it would be a big mistake. She isn’t saying he’ll never be ready, but she thinks he needs to pump the brakes for now. She just doesn’t understand why he’s in such a rush,” the unnamed source said.

The unnamed source added that Pompeo witnessed the fall out of Affleck and Lopez’s relationship and how the actor jumped ship with Jennifer Garner shortly after. So, the Grey’s Anatomy star couldn’t help but also be worried for Lopez.
“Ellen, Ben, and Jen were all shooting Daredevil when everybody believes Ben and Jen fell in love, with J.Lo pretty much left in the dust. Now, Ellen’s concerned he’s not truly ready to commit and isn’t ready for a powerful woman like Jennifer Lopez to share his life,” the unnamed source claimed.
Ben Affleck Opens Up About His 2004 Split From Jennifer Lopez
Shortly after Affleck and Lopez split in 2004, reports swirled that the couple’s relationship fell apart because of the expectations of the press. The couple didn’t also like how they were pressured by the media.
During an interview with Howard Stern, Affleck said that one of the reasons for his split from Lopez at the time was because of how the media pushed the idea that they hated them together.
The Tender Bar actor also admitted that he was partially to blame for the fallout of his and Lopez’s engagement at the time.
“The idea that people hate you and they hate you together and that being together is poison and ugly and toxic and the thing none of us want to be part of,” Affleck said.

But Affleck confirmed that it was Lopez that ended their engagement. And after the Marry Me actress made the decision, the dad of three said that he became angry and felt like a fool.
“I am very lucky in my life in that I have benefited from second chances, and I am aware that other people don't even get first chances. I've had second chances in my career. I've had second chances as a human being,” he said.
Page Six previously claimed that Lopez was heartbroken after she decided to call off her engagement to Affleck. After all, she was ready to settle down and have children with the actor back in the early 2000s.
“As hot and heavy as their relationship was, they were on very different paths at the end of it. Jennifer was ready to settle down and have kids, but Ben wasn’t keen on giving up his bachelor lifestyle just yet. In the end, she got tired of waiting for him to come around — even though it broke her heart to end things,” a source said.

So, when Affleck and Lopez started hanging out again, their fans couldn’t help but be surprised. After all, there was no indication that the two had been talking in private.
Affleck and Lopez both just got out of their respective relationships when they rekindled their romance. Affleck just split from his Deep Water co-star, Ana de Armas because their priorities were different.
Lopez, on the other hand, split from Alex Rodriguez, who she was engaged to for two years after the former baseball star was accused of cheating.
As of late, Lopez and Affleck have not talked about their plans to get married. But the happy couple seems committed to making their relationship work this time around.
