Jennifer Aniston got candid about her struggles to have a baby in her interview with Allure. An insider said it wasn't easy for Brad Pitt's ex-wife to open up about the issue, but she wanted to set the record straight.

The Murder Mystery star is happy and content with her life. However, it wasn't always the case, especially when she was married to Pitt.
There were rumors that the Bullet Train actor left her because she didn't want to have a baby, which she denied and called "lies." She talked in detail about the difficulties she endured to get pregnant, and an anonymous source said it wasn't easy for her to do.
"Jen thought long and hard before deciding to share these details, and in the end, it felt important to set the record straight," the tipster told Heat World. "It bothers her enormously that people judged her for not having children and that there were so many false narratives that were insensitive or way off the mark."
In the interview, Aniston mentioned how she was affected by the "narrative that I was selfish" and just cared about her career. "The reason my husband left me, why we broke up and ended our marriage, was because I wouldn't give him kids – it was absolute lies," Aniston said.
The Morning Show star didn't give a timeline of her infertility struggles. She was married twice to Brad Pitt from 2000 o 2005 and to Justin Theroux from 2015 to 2017.
Despite not mentioning Pitt, the tipster claimed that she was referring to her split with her first husband.
"It's an open secret that she and Brad tried to get pregnant for years and she experienced fertility troubles. She even looked into adoption during her time with him," the tipster continued.

Jennifer Aniston Slammed The Media For Its Obsession With Her Being Pregnant
In the same interview with Allure, Aniston made a brief reference to the 2016 op-ed she wrote Huff Post, where she called out the press for speculating about her pregnancy. It wasn't easy for her, who tried her best to conceive but couldn't do so.
"I got so frustrated. Hence that op-ed I wrote [for The Huffington Post in 2016, slamming the media for its obsession with her being pregnant and its treatment of women, generally]. I was like, 'I've just got to write this because it's so maddening and I'm not superhuman to the point where I can't let it penetrate and hurt,'" she explained.
In the op-ed, she set the record straight and condemned the objectification and scrutiny that women were subjected to. She said it was "absurd and disturbing."
"For the record, I am not pregnant. What I am is fed up. I'm fed up with the sport-like scrutiny and body shaming that occurs daily under the guise of 'journalism,' the "First Amendment,' and 'celebrity news,'" she wrote.
"Here's where I come out on this topic: we are complete with or without a mate, with or without a child. We get to decide for ourselves what is beautiful when it comes to our bodies. That decision is ours and ours alone."
