Jeff Kaplan on Which Overwatch Heroes He’d Like to See in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

Blizzard has teamed up with Nintendo to bring Overwatch to the Switch, and with that in mind, some people are thinking of some heroes from the game eventually coming to Nintendo's crossover hit Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

Overwatch game director Jeff Kaplan was asked by IGN which character he would like to see guest-star in the game, to which Kaplan replies, "To the Smash Brothers team, whatever character you want, we love them all. They're all our babies, you can have any single one of them. We have 31 to choose from."

If Kaplan were to pick one though, he says he would have to go with the game's poster girl, Tracer. Kaplan continues:

"Tracer's our girl, Tracer's our mascot. She'd be my first choice… There's a lot of great runners up. I think a lot of people can immediately see Doomfist gameplay applying to Smash, but if it were up to me, I'd like to see Tracer."

As for Overwatch's Switch producer Wes Yanagi, he says that he would love to see Winston come over to Smash Bros.

If anything, Overwatch definitely has a lot of great characters to pick from, and it's likely that they could come to Smash Bros somewhere down the line. If anything, poster girls like Tracer and D. Va would definitely get the priority, but I could also see the likes of Reaper or Hanzo making their way to the game.

Overwatch comes to the Nintendo Switch on Oct. 15.
