James Gunn Loved Thor: Ragnarok

Thor: Ragnarok has been a big hit with critics and it has gotten fans quite excited for the film. Aside from being the best Thor film, which doesn't sound too impressive, it also got praised for the comedy and action like a typical good Marvel film. Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn loved the movie and admits that it is the funniest film Marvel has made.

Gunn claims to have laughed at all of Jeff Goldblum's lines and even said that his portrayal of The Grandmaster is now one of his favorites in the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe. He also had nice things to say about Chris Hemsworth's Thor, Tessa Thompson's Valkyrie, and Mark Ruffalo's Hulk.

Many fans and critics were quick to point out how the film is clearly inspired by 80's film and James Gunn echoes those statements. He feels that the movie captures the fun of Flash Gordon and Buckaroo Banzai and praised director Taika Waititi. While Gunn does work for Marvel, he was quick to point out that he doesn't like every film that the company has put out so there is supposedly no bias.

It's cool seeing the Guardians of the Galaxy director geek out over the movie and it looks like other fans will react similarly. Fans won't have to wait too long, as Thor: Ragnarok will hit theaters on November 3, 2017.
