It's long been debated by Marvel fans which MCU character should become the official successor to Tony Stark's mantle as Iron Man and while the most obvious choice would be Spider-Man, the web-slinging hero has a lot on his plate and if you've been following the latest rumors surrounding Spider-Man 3, it totally suggests that Peter Parker has bigger fish to fry.
Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige delivered a piece of bombshell news during Disney's 2020 Investor Day and apparently, we'll soon be introduced to Tony's "replacement" in the billion-dollar franchise and it will in fact be Riri Williams aka Ironheart.
As it stands, we still know very little about the project but Feige confirmed that the Disney+ show will star rising actress Dominque Thorne as Williams. Now, artist ApexForm is revving up the Ironheart hype train but sharing his awesome artwork on Instagram.
The image features Thorne along with a holographic image of RDJ and I don't know about you but I'm totally digging it. Of course, Downey's MCU return is currently in doubt but would you like to see him take on a JARVIS type of role in the show? Check it out here:
It'll be interesting though how Riri will learn the ropes especially now that Stark is gone but there's always the option of teaming her up with James Rhodes aka War Machine who of course knows a thing or two about piloting the Iron Man suit. He could totally play a mentor role in the series. Let's just wait and see what happens.
Ironheart will be part of Disney+'s MCU expansion.
