It's been three years since Robert Downey Jr. officially left the Marvel Cinematic Universe and while he hasn't really retired from the entertainment scene, fans still long for the Iron Man actor, with some even hoping to see him back in the franchise for a multiversal cameo.
These days, RDJ has been busy working on several projects as both an actor and producer and so far, the 57-year-old actor is finding a huge deal of success outside the confines of the MCU.
For years, Downey has sported a recognizable look that has become associated with his Tony Stark character. However, it looks like RDJ is at a point in his life where he wants to experiment and reinvent. The Oppenheimer actor shocked fans on social media when he showed off his eccentric new look.
Turns out, Robert has dyed his hair blue in support of his son's Malibu Little League team. Unsurprisingly, the new look caught a lot of people off guard but hey, I think it definitely suits him. Check it out here:

Going back to the MCU side of things, while the multiverse leaves the door wide open for a Tony Stark return, I think Downey would rather keep his MCU legacy untarnished, and quite frankly, I don't think he'll be open to returning even just for a small cameo. But hey, never say never, I guess.
Robert Downey Jr.'s next film Oppenheimer is currently slated for a July 21, 2023 release.
