I Am Groot Release Date: When Will the Marvel Mini-Series Come Out?

The I Am Groot animated mini-series premiered on August 10, 2022, in Disney+.

The streaming service announced the release date for the show through a Tweet that included a poster for the series. I Am Groot will come out on Disney+ before She-Hulk: Attorney At Law, which is set to premiere on August 17.

I Am Groot Early Release in El Capitan Theater in Hollywood

Groot fans who want to see the first episode of the mini-series first can head out to the El Capitan Theater in Hollywood.

The theater will be exclusively screening the short Magnum Opus before selected schedules of Thor: Love and Thunder. On July 18 and 19, the I am Groot short will be played before the 4:15 pm screening of Thor, while on July 20 to 24, the show will be played before the 1 pm screening of Thor.

Vin Diesel will return to lend his voice to Baby Groot in this stand-alone animated series. The series is loosely based on Stan Lee’s conception of Groot.

The I Am Groot mini-series features artist cameos from the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise. GotG director James Gunn made a special participation in the show as the voice of the smartwatch Baby Groot repurposed as an improvised head torch. I Am Groot Plot: What Will be the Plot of the Marvel Series?

Marvel and Disney have been very secretive about the plot of I Am Groot, so there is still no information about what will happen in the series. This series takes place sometime after Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 2, during the short time when Groot was a toddler.

I Am Groot will have five original short episodes with new characters we have not met before. Marvel's tweet revealed the series poster showing Groot chilling alongside two cute aliens.

Groot is the first of the guardians to have his own spin-off, but we are set to see more of the guardians still – they are set to appear in Thor: Love and Thunder and in their Christmas movie called Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special.
