Hugh Jackman Pays Heartfelt Tribute to Wolverine Voice Actor Who Died Due to Illness

Sad day, Marvel fans. Writer, actor, and voice talent Isaac Bardavid has died at the age of 91 due to illness. According to his grandson, was hospitalized in Rio de Janeiro due to emphysema and would later succumb to it. Due to his age, the "disease was insisting on keeping the oxygenation very low, even though he was using the devices he already has at home, so he had to be taken to the hospital for treatment." The Brazilian legend, who has been in the business since the late 1940s is best known for providing the voice for Hugh Jackman's Wolverine in Fox's X-Men movies. Naturally, the OG Logan actor was among the notable people who paid their respects to the late actor. Taking to his official Instagram account, the X-Men film franchise star posted a heartfelt tribute to Bardavid, sharing a video of them where Bardavid repeats Wolverine's iconic "don't be what they made you" dialogue.

Jackman wrote: "Isaac Bardavid. What a legend. What a life and legacy. What a voice!!" You can watch the video here:

Bardavid also voiced Hugh Jackman's iconic mutant character in his final outing Logan and calls voicing Wolverine his favorite role. Apart from his involvement in the X-Men film franchise, Bardavid is also known for his voice work on A Nightmare on Elm Street, He-Man and the Masters of the Universe, and Batman: The Animated Series. Rest in power, Isaac Bardavid.
