Many are looking forward to seeing High School Musical: The Musical: The Series Season 4, hoping to see the High School Musical original cast of Vanessa Hudgens and Zac Efron in it. Thankfully, Hudgens has already broken her silence about it and revealed if views will indeed see her in the new season.
Hudgens and Efron seemed to drop hints that they would be part of HSMTMTS Season 4 after posting individual photos in front of East High, where the original HSM was set. So, with some of the HSM alums coming into the series, will fans finally see Gabriella Montez and Troy Bolton in the new season?
Vanessa Hudgens Addresses Possible HSMTMTS Season 4 Appearance
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Hudgens finally addressed the possibility of her HSMTMTS Season 4 appearance and the story behind her viral photo at East High.
"My boyfriend was playing in Salt Lake—he's a baseball player," she said. "So, he was at the field, and I had rented a car, and I was like, 'I want to go check it out and take some pictures for old time's sake.'"
So, how come she and Efron posted the same picture just weeks later?
"What can I say? I'm a trendsetter," she quipped.
Does this mean she will be seen in HSMTMTS Season 4?
"I don't know," she added. "We leave it up to fate. Leave it up to the gods."
The HSM Alums in HSMTMTS Season 4
HSMTMTS Season 4 will feature some of the movies' original characters to film a reunion special fictionally.
It will feature Joshua Bassett and Sofia Wylie reprising their roles as Ricky and Gina. Though the Disney+ series may focus on these two, Hudgens can appear as Gabriella by passing the torch to Gina in one of the episodes.

If Efron also appears here, he can have the same scene but with Ricky this time or someone else.
However, it's good to note that neither of these two is yet to play a major role in the series.
The only original HSM character who has been integral to the show is Corbin Bleu, playing his role as Chad.

He was a key player in the previous season, though he was never the focus. So, will Hudgens and Efron finally be seen in HSMTMTS Season 4?
