One might argue that there's little to no information on HBO's Harry Potter reboot, but this is surprisingly untrue.

Warner Bros. and Wizarding World creator JK Rowling have already confirmed that it will be a "decade-long adaptation" of the seven Harry Potter books.

We also know that it will be a television series and not a new set of films. But what will the Harry Potter reboot be about?

Well, as we've said, it will be an adaptation of the seven Harry Potter books, in the same way that the eight Harry Potter films are.

And as it's a television series, this, of course, means that Harry's journey from being a First-Year to his, ahem, "graduation", will span a number of seasons.

Warner Bros. and HBO will soon be calling for young actors to audition for roles such as Harry Potter, Ronald Weasley, and Hermione Granger.

And we know that these actors will be signing up to a "decade-long" series, just like the actors in the Harry Potter films did.

While the films were based on seven books, as the last installment was split into two parts, this means we got eight films in total.

And this winded up spanning 10 years in cinema, with the first film being released in theaters in 2001, and the final one in 2011.

Here are all the films that were released across the 10-year period:

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (2001)

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (2002)

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (2004)

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (2005)

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (2007)

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (2009)

Now, the HBO reboot is set to face the same stretch of time, albeit on the small screen. But how many seasons will there be?

Well, we're pretty sure you've already worked it out, but you'd be forgiven for thinking the series may not align with the books mathematically.

After all, the films didn't, but a television series is a different beast altogether, and there's really no telling what Warner Bros. intends to do differently (although it will be a more "faithful adaptation" of the books).
