House of the Dragon Episode 6 Stills Introduce Emma D'Arcy, Olivia Cooke and More

House of the Dragon Episode 6 is turning out to be one of the most highly anticipated episodes of the Game of Thrones prequel, thanks to the arrival of the new actors who will portray the two main characters. The new stills from The Princess and The Queen put the focus on Emma D'Arcy and Olivia Cooke as Rhaenyra Targaryen and Alicent Hightower. In addition to that, we get to see the new actors playing Laenor and Laena Velaryon as well as the teen Aegon II Targaryen.

The House of the Dragon Episode 6 stills were shared by the show's official Twitter account. The first image features Olivia Cooke as Alicent along with Fabien Frankel who will continue to play Ser Criston Cole. In the second photo, Rhaenyra Targaryen (Emma D'Arcy) and Laenor Velaryon (John Macmillan) are shown with their infant son. We also see Matt Smith's Daemon Targaryen with Laena Velaryon, who will now be played by Nanna Blondell. Finally, Prince Aegon II (Ty Tennant) bows to Ser Criston.

These are all interesting images not just because they reveal the new actors who will play established characters in the series. The stills also tease new alliances and interactions between the characters. For instance, it is pretty much confirmed that Daemon marries Laena who appears to be pregnant in the photo.

We have previously seen the new actors in the House of the Dragon Episode 6 preview, which debuted our first good look at the teen Aegon II who had people initially confused. After all, Ty Tennant somehow resembles Stranger Things star Finn Wolfhard. However, it has since been confirmed that David Tennant's son will portray the young prince in the series.

House of the Dragon Episode 5 is now streaming on HBO Max. House of the Dragon Episode 6 is titled The Princess and The Queen and will premiere on Sunday, September 25, 2022, at 9:00 PM EST.
