House of the Dragon Episode 6 Deleted Scene Reveals Tender Moment Between Daemon and his Daughters

It's no secret that Daemon Targaryen has been the resident bad boy in House of the Dragon. However, that doesn't mean that the Rogue Prince doesn't have any redeeming qualities. A deleted scene from House of the Dragon Episode 6 confirms that Daemon tried to comfort his daughters after a shocking death.

In House of the Dragon Episode 6, Daemon's wife Laena Velaryon is having difficulty delivering their third child. The Maester gives Daemon an option: cutting the baby out of Laena's womb and risking her death.

Daemon is against it and Laena knows this is the end for her. However, she intends to go her own way and approaches Vhagar before ordering the dragon to burn her. The reluctant Vhagar finally burns her rider, much to Daemon's horror.

That's the last we see of Daemon in the episode but it looks like there would have been a lot more of him and his family. A deleted scene shows Daemon hugging his daughters Baela and Rhaena Targaryen after the death of their mother.

It's unclear why the scene was deleted from House of the Dragon Episode 6 but fans suspect that the series intends to continue showing Daemon as an unapologetic antihero who doesn't care about family. Still, fans are hoping that we'll get to see Daemon's tender side in the upcoming episodes of the first season.

House of the Dragon Episode 6 also featured the deaths of Ser Lyonel and Harwin Strong who were assassinated by Larys Strong. The move was an attempt to please Alicent Hightower who wanted her father Otto to return as Hand of the King.

The latest episode of House of the Dragon is now available on HBO Max. House of the Dragon Episode 7 is titled Driftmark and is set to premiere on HBO on Sunday, October 2, 2022, at 9:00 PM EST.
