Homelander is Still is a Psycho in Bloody Teaser for The Boys Season 2

Amazon Prime Video had found a new hit this year with their superhero satire series The Boys, and wouldn't you know it, they've dropped the first teaser for the second season just now.

We don't have an official synopsis yet, but I bet we can expect some more superhero carnage, as well as some backstory being shed on characters like Billy Butcher and Karen Fukuhara's "The Female." If anything, the teaser could have confirmed that A-Train is going to be fine after his heart attack last season, and it looks like Billy is going to keep killing heroes even after the revelation that his wife was actually alive this whole time.

With comic book movies dominating the box office right now, something like The Boys is perfect for fans of the superhero genre who are looking for a darker take. If you don't like the irreverent tone of this show though, I suggest you check out HBO's Watchmen, which is a bit more serious, but way more intriguing.

In a world where superheroes embrace the darker side of their massive celebrity and fame, THE BOYS centers on a group of vigilantes known informally as "The Boys," who set out to take down corrupt superheroes with no more than their blue-collar grit and a willingness to fight dirty. THE BOYS is a fun and irreverent take on what happens when superheroes – who are as popular as celebrities, as influential as politicians and as revered as Gods – abuse their superpowers rather than use them for good. It's the powerless against the super powerful as The Boys embark on a heroic quest to expose the truth about "The Seven," and Vought – the multi-billion dollar conglomerate that manages these superheroes.

Catch the second season of The Boys when it hits Amazon Prime Video on the summer of 2020.
