Harry Potter Fans Enraged Over HBO Series Reboot

The recently announced Harry Potter reboot is a hot topic right now but not for positive reasons. It looks like Potterheads are furious that their beloved book series is getting a new adaptation on HBO and they are pointing out why this could be a terrible idea.

It was previously reported that a new Harry Potter series is currently in development and is set to premiere on HBO. The show is set to be a reboot of the live-action films and is expected to run for seven seasons with each season adapting J.K. Rowling's books.

The news is certainly a huge surprise for fans who were already happy with the film adaptations starring Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and Rupert Grint. Needless to say, Potterheads are calling the reboot unnecessary and just another excuse for Warner Bros. to try and profit from the franchise.

There have been several speculations about the Harry Potter franchise after the Fantastic Beasts film series failed to please audiences. Some believe that the franchise would move forward with the rumored Marauders prequel or a live-action adaptation of The Cursed Child featuring the original stars of the movies.

Both of the rumored projects were warmly accepted by fans who are eager to see Harry Potter's parents or Harry Potter as a parent. However, it looks like HBO and Warner Bros. are still choosing to stick to the original formula and decided on a reboot instead.

For now, the Harry Potter reboot is still in early development and has not yet confirmed any attached names. However, there is a possibility that the new series will begin searching for the new Harry Potter, Hermione Granger, and Ron Weasley very soon. Additionally, the new series is expected to get a green light in the next few months and production could begin by next year. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
