Halsey, who uses they/them pronouns, made a name as a singer and songwriter in the music scene. They were behind the hit song “Closer” with The Chainsmokers and several other hits.

The 28-year-old started in the business in 2012 by releasing music on social media platforms. After two years, they were signed by Astralwerks and released their debut EP, Room 93, a little later.

Their debut studio album, Badlands, came out in 2015 and was certified Double Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America, along with the songs “Colors” and “Gasoline.”

Come 2016, they were featured on The Chainsmokers’ “Closer” and topped the charts in over 10 countries. It was also certified 14x Platinum.

Their second studio album, Hopeless Foundation Kingdom, dropped in 2017 and had more “radio-friendly” songs than their previous releases.

In 2018, Halsey released “Eastside” with Benny Blanco and Khalid. Later that year, they were moved to Capitol Records.

Their third album, Manic, was out in 2020 and became their best-selling album worldwide, while its lead single, “Without Me,” became their most successful single as a lead artist.

The hitmaker’s fourth studio album, If I Can’t Have Love, I Want Power, dropped in 2021, produced by Nine Inch Nails members Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross. In 2023, they left Capitol.

Halsey and Alev Aydin’s Split

Halsey and Alev Aydin have parted ways after two years of dating. The songstress now seeks full custody of their one-year-old son, Ender Ridley.

In the court documents obtained by Page Six, they filed for full physical custody on April 15. However, they also requested joint legal custody and expenses with visitation rights.

Though no one between the two has addressed their split on social media, a source said their breakup is amicable.

“The split with them is totally amicable, and they are co-parenting; they are going to raise their son together,” the insider said.

The tipster explained Halsey “just had to file that way” because they’re going on tour in the summer, and “it’s a formality so that the singer can bring their son with them.”
