The news of the early release of the Halo Infinite multiplayer beta was announced during Xbox's 20th Anniversary event today. "Players can enjoy the Season 1 content including all maps, core modes, Academy features, and Battle Pass, and all of their progress carries over into the full Halo Infinite launch on December 8," the official Xbox Wire post said.

As mentioned above, the beta for Halo Infinite's multiplayer has launched for PC, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and Xbox On, but expect the campaign mode and the rest of the content to arrive on the game's official release date.

The official release of Halo Infinite will come with the release of the custom Halo Infinite Xbox Series X console, Halo Infinite controller, and Xbox has also partnered with Rockstar Energy for Halo Infinite cans and rewards.

The release of the Halo Infinite multiplayer marks the beginning of the game's Season 1: Heroes of Reach content, but developer 343 Industries and Microsoft consider this a beta in order to test out the game's systems ahead of the full launch in early December.

It was also announced that rather than a new season every three months, Season 1 was extended through May 2022, with added events, cosmetics, and other content.

Halo Infinite is scheduled to release on December 8 for Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One consoles, and Windows 10 PCs.
