Halo Infinite 300-Player Battle Royale Mode Reportedly Leaked

For months, Halo fans have been pressing 343 Industries about the potential battle royale mode for Halo Infinite, but the developers haven't officially confirmed it, but YouTube star Dr Disrespect (real name: Herschel "Guy" Beahm IV) claims to have "inside information" on the project.

During Z_Laner recent stream on Twitch (a platform Dr Disrespect is banned on), Dr Disrespect said that he's heard that Halo Infinite is getting a battle royale mode, despite 343 Industries insisting that it had no interest in adding the fan-favorite mode to the upcoming Xbox One, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, and PC game, and according to the streamer, the mode will have a 300-player count, which would make it one of the biggest battle royale games to date.

"I'm hoping to jump right into a battle royale mode game too, man," Dr Disrespect said. "It's going to be a lot of fun. From what I've heard it's going to be 300 players, set loop, power weapons on the map, and maps designed around these power weapons and locations and points of interest. This is all inside information I've been receiving. And it's going to feel really good, supposedly. Super optimized. If this first technical alpha test is any indication, they are going to knock it out of the park."

A couple of years ago, 343 Studios said that there will be no battle royale mode for Halo Infinite, but the company's plans may have changed. Last summer, dataminers discovered files pointing towards the existence of a battle royale mode for Halo Infinite, including voice lines featuring the game's announcer saying "battle royale."
