Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton have been married for a year. They celebrated their first wedding anniversary in July, and the Hollaback Girl singer gave an update about their marriage.
Gwen Stefani Admits She And Blake Shelton Are Very Different
Stefani appeared on Wednesday's episode of The Drew Barrymore Show. During her guesting, she spoke about how Shelton came into her life and how different they were.
"God just put us together. It was one of those miracle situations where I didn't see it coming," Stefani tells Barrymore. "I was like, 'I'm gonna wake up every day, I'm gonna have a coffee, I'm gonna take care of my kids and then I'm gonna go to bed.'"
The celebrity mom of three added, "'Like, I'm never gonna kiss anyone.'…like, I thought my life was over. And then Blake Shelton's like, 'Hey. I'm Blake Shelton.'"
The singer added that she and Shelton are different but also the same on so many levels.
"Finding a best friend, someone that is, like, on the same plane when it comes to morals, or just the way you look at life, that's the dream," she added. "Having someone that, we think the same about things, yet we're so different, like, he's watching football and doing his stuff that he does and I'm, like, putting makeup on. We are so different, yet we're so the same on so many levels."
Host Drew Barrymore agreed and said that the celebrity has the "perfect balance because opposite attracts." The Blended star also reminded Stefai that being with someone different could help them expand each other's horizons and give them a little room for individuality.
Stefani also addressed Shelton's departure from the Voice and gushed over her talented husband.
"He's brought so much joy. He's so talented. I know people just wait around to laugh and watch him on TV, so I feel sorry for everybody [that] he's gonna be gone," she said. "It's so weird Blake Shelton is leaving The Voice. I wasn't ready, you know what I mean? I have to figure out who this new Blake's gonna be. I'm just so proud of him."

Blake Shelton And Gwen Stefani's Differences Sparked Divorce?
In June, Star published a report claiming that Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton are calling it quits less than a year before their first wedding anniversary. The outlet quoted an anonymous source claiming that they were so different, which caused misunderstanding at home.
"Blake's a no-frills country guy, while Gwen's a city girl at heart who won't show her face without full makeup. They were always an odd match in so many ways. It hasn't been easy for Gwen on certain levels. She tries to hang out with Blake's buddies and their significant others, but it doesn't look like she's really adapted to their ways," the source said.
The insider claimed that their union quickly deteriorated. It also alleged that the No Doubt singer wanted her husband to be a "yes man."

"But when Blake voices his opinion, Gwen doesn't like it. She's always given the impression that she's the one in control of the relationship. They are at a crossroads. Gwen is sad and crying all the time. She feels forgotten and left out. It doesn't help that Blake's surrounded by hot girls on his tour. Other musicians, management. Friends are worried that Blake will be tempted. That's Gwen's biggest fear," the source added.
Apparently, the report was not true. Shelton and Stefani are very much still together. Also, based on Stefani's recent interview, her marriage with Shelton is far from over.
