Netflix has released two posters for episodes of Guillermo del Toro's Cabinet of Curiosities, an upcoming anthology series, and they're both enticing and creepy.

The event will take place across four nights, so we're expecting additional sneak peeks, especially because these two revolve around the subject of night one, Scavengers.

Guillermo del Toro's Cabinet of Curiosities: Lot 36

Lot 36, starring Tim Blake Nelson, will be the first story of the night. The poster shows a gloomy room that makes us feel like we are at the bottom of a well. A creature is laid out in the middle of a luminous pentagram in the center of the image.

No one is surprised that del Toro would choose to begin his four-night stint with a tale about a monster that only he could conjure, evoking Pan's Labyrinth.

While many of the other episodes will be remakes of earlier works or original stories from various creative minds, this one is directed by del Toro and has a storyline written by Regina Corrado.

Lot 36 was directed by Guillermo Navarro, who also served as the film's cinematographer for The Devil's Backbone and Pan's Labyrinth, keeping things even closer to the monster maestro's family. The show will also feature Demetrius Grosse, Sebastian Roché, and Elpidia Carrillo, in addition to Nelson.

Graveyard Rats

Night two will bring us to the tale of Graveyard Rats, in which the image's description tells that "a grave robber unearths more than he was bargaining for."

A massive rat-zombie hybrid takes center stage, ready to take a horrific bite out of anyone it comes across. The huge creature, with eyes, that light like the moon and saliva spilling from its teeth, is yet another creation of del Toro and his collaborators.

This time, the storyline will be based on a terrifying short story by Henry Kuttner. Del Toro invested in the expertise of his The Shape of Water star David Hewlett to help him tell his story, once more enlisting individuals he knows best to work with him.

Graveyard Rats' screenplay was written by another well-known personality in the horror genre, Vincenzo Natali, who will also be directing the feature.
