Grey's Anatomy Season 19 Episode 7: I'll Follow the Sun
Images supplied by TV Insider provide a new look at Pompeo's final episode of Grey's Anatomy prior to the episode's premiere on Feb. 23.
Grey's Anatomy Season 19 Episode 7, titled I'll Follow the Sun, will see the doctors at Grey Sloan organize a farewell surprise for Meredith's last day, and at least some of this emotional farewell looks to be depicted in the photographs above. Another graphic portrays Jo (Camila Luddington) and Link (Chris Carmack), possibly teasing upcoming storylines.
In 2005, Grey's Anatomy debuted on ABC. It was created by Shonda Rhimes. Due to the outstanding script, charismatic ensemble, and Pompeo's performance in the lead role, the show became a network hit.
Will There Be a Grey's Anatomy Season 20?
As of writing, Grey's Anatomy has not been renewed for its 20th season, so it is uncertain whether the show will continue. If it does, though, there is hope that it will continue to be successful without Meredith Grey.

It is impossible to envision Grey's Anatomy without Pompeo after 19 seasons, as she has been the show's central character. After all, her character's name is in the series' title.
However, Pompeo's character will not be completely eliminated from the series, and the actor has already hinted that she may resurface in future episodes of Grey's Anatomy if the drama continues. Meredith is anticipated to continue serving as the show's narrator throughout the balance of season 19. Although her physical presence on Grey's Anatomy will be drastically reduced, Pompeo will continue to play a substantial role as an executive producer.
