Miranda Bailey quits in Grey’s Anatomy Season 18 finale
The Grey’s Anatomy Season 18 finale sees Miranda Bailey (Chandra Wilson) has been under a lot of pressure. Dealing with the hospital being reviewed and learning Meredith Grey (Ellen Pompeo) was considering moving to Minnesota put her in danger of suffering a heart attack.
So it's hardly unexpected that she hit her breaking point in You Are the Blood. She resigned after having to call the cops on Owen Hunt (Kevin McKidd) for stealing medications to help dying veterans, and the program was shut down.
Miranda handed over the keys to the chief of surgery's office to Meredith. Meredith was given extra money to take the position by Jackson Avery (Jesse Williams). Meredith is irritated by the prospect of having to save the hospital. But it appears that next season will be all about her accomplishing just that.

Grey Sloan’s residency program
The residency program was put on hold after Levi Schmitt's (Jake Borelli) mother complained. The final scene showed the hospital being inspected to determine if any changes had been made.
The hospital was running low on blood when Out for Blood began. As a result, all surgeons and residents were asked to make a donation. Residents contributing during their shift astounded the person examining the hospital.
Meredith was also caught performing a major surgery that was not approved by Richard Webber (James Pickens Jr.). They couldn't continue without blood; therefore, her patient died.
The residency program was eventually terminated.
What happens in Grey’s Anatomy Season 19?
The events of Grey's Anatomy's Season 18 finale will undoubtedly set up stories for the show's Fall 2022 launch. This might involve the fate of Grey Sloan Memorial's surgical training program and Meredith's decision to leave Seattle for Minnesota.
The premiere date for Grey's Anatomy Season 19 has yet to be announced, but the show usually returns during the third or fourth week of September.
