Grey’s Anatomy Season 18, Episode 8 will usher in the holiday season. It's going to be an exciting moment! It Came Upon a Midnight Clear is the big Christmas episode, and we're guessing there'll be a lot of interesting stuff in store.
We know this is a drama, which means there will be plenty of dramatic moments from beginning to end. However, we hope that this episode in particular provides an opportunity to appreciate things that are lighter, more fun, more joyful. After all, we've been through a lot with some of these people in the last year or so, and we need something new.

When you consider the twists and turns that prior fall and season finales have thrown our way, it does sound like a vanilla installment to end the year.
After Grey's Anatomy Season 17 spent the entire season focusing on COVID-19, Grey's Anatomy Season 18 has mostly focused on more upbeat stories. The doctors did everything they could to save their patients and colleagues while maintaining their composure during one of the most trying occasions of their lives.
We also bid Andrew DeLuca farewell after he was stabbed while pursuing drug dealers. Definitely, it was a tumultuous season.
Fall Finale: What to Expect
It wouldn't be Grey's Anatomy without an episode-ending twist to shake things up a bit, but for the time being, it appears that the show will be closing 2021 on a positive note.
Meredith's presence in Minnesota, where she's working on the next step of their project, could lead to a cliffhanger. Then there's Mer and Nick's relationship.
Nick's reappearance was unexpected. Could Nick and Mer return to Seattle for the holidays? There are a number of possibilities.
