God of War Creator Under Fire After Joking About Kratos Being Bisexual

June is Pride Month, and lots of people have been going online to support the LGBT community. God of War creator David Jaffe, actually got snagged in a bit of controversy after a joke about Kratos being bisexual ruffled a few feathers online.

Check out his reply to this LGBT art of Kratos:

Apparently, a lot of people didn't get that Jaffe was joking, and you can see that he's been trying to clarify his statements online. He says that he made the joke to anger the people who hated the fanart, but it all just went out of hand.

When it comes to Twitter, it's no surprise that some people will overreact and read too much into things. It happens quite a lot, what with the controversies with James Gunn, J.K. Rowling, and Liam Neeson just to name a few. Certainly, people will drop this issue in a week, but even then, it's been a while since Jaffe has been involved with the franchise. It's very unlikely he's going to be responsible for any changes to Kratos' character moving forward, so you can rest easy, nerds.

We don't know when a sequel to God of War 4 will come out, but we do know that something is in the works. With the last game delving into Norse mythology, it's rumored that we're going to have Kratos taking on other ancient religions in future games.

For now, God of War is available to play for the PS4.
