Ghosted Trailer Reunites Chris Evans and Ana de Armas in an Action Rom-Com Tale

Apple Original Films has released the trailer for the upcoming action romantic-comedy film Ghosted starring Chris Evans and recently-minted Oscar nominee Ana de Armas. This project will mark their third collaboration after working together in Knives Out and last year's The Gray Man.

The trailer started with what seems to be a normal blossoming relationship between Evans and de Armas' respective characters. When the latter "ghosted" (hence the title) the former, Evans' character decided to go to London to surprise her. However, as it turns out, the woman that he is falling in love with is a CIA agent and they now find themselves entangled together on a dangerous mission.

It is great to see Evans and de Armas work together again on the same project and, this time around, they will be on the same side since the first two films that they worked on together featured Evans as the villain while de Armas is on the good side.

It is also worth noting that Scarlett Johansson was originally attached to play de Armas' role before she backed out due to scheduling conflicts. Based on the trailer, the film looks like a fun watch and potentially appealing to everyone since it is both an action film and a rom-com.

The cast also includes Adrian Brody, Mike Moh, Amy Sedaris, Tim Blake Nelson, and Tate Donovan. The film is directed by Dexter Fletcher and written by Rhett Reese, Paul Wernick, Chris McKenna, and Erik Sommers. Evans, Reese, Wernick are also co-producing with Jules Daly, David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, and Don Granger.

The film's synopsis reads: "salt-of-the-earth Cole (Evans) falls head over heels for enigmatic Sadie (de Armas) — but then makes the shocking discovery that she’s a secret agent. Before they can decide on a second date, Cole and Sadie are swept away on an international adventure to save the world."
