Get Ready for Castlevania Season 3 by Playing Symphony of the Night, Now Available on Mobile Devices

Castlevania Season 3 is now available on Netflix and fans everywhere are just happy to get more of this anime, especially after the caliber of the past two seasons. If the critics are right, this should be the best season of this show yet and we're all hoping to get more, even if it drives writer Warren Ellis crazy.

If you're a fan of the show and one of its lead characters Alucard then you will be happy to know that Castlevania: Symphony of the Night is now available on iOS and Android devices. The fact that it's not on the Nintendo Switch yet is criminal but those who haven't played the game yet should definitely check it out, especially since it's only $2.99 for mobile.

For $2.99, fans will get to experience one of the games that coined the term Metroidvania, the other of which is Super Metroid. Despite originally coming out on the PlayStation, the game still looks great today and it plays amazingly. You can see that a lot of indie Metroidvania games were clearly inspired by this game.

The story is pretty simple. Years after Richter Belmont supposedly defeated Dracula, the villain's castle has risen again. Alucard investigates and decides to put a stop to his evil machinations once and for all.

One minor warning; this version of Symphony of the Night is based on the Castlevania Dracula Chronicles X version, which replaced the campy voice acting for "better" performances. While the delivery is a lot better, not hearing "What is a man but a miserable pile of secrets" is just wrong. That aside, it's still a good version of the game.

What are you waiting for? Get Castlevania: Symphony of the Night right now on iOS or Android. The game is also available on PS4, Xbox 360, PS3, PS Vita, and PSP.
