Geras' Brutality Attack from Mortal Kombat 11 Essentially Makes Him Thanos

Mortal Kombat 11 continues to be an exceptionally fun and violent game, one that has also been updated so that reaping in the rewards is easier than ever. When fans aren't customizing their favorite fighter's costumes to their heart's content, they are pulling each other's spines out or crushing their skulls. However, Geras has a Brutality Attack that has shocked Marvel fans because it's eerily similar to The Decimation/The Snap.

As can be seen below, Geras uses his Brutality Attack so that his opponent doesn't feel so good. While this would have been an acceptable finisher in most games, it's easy to see why this isn't his Fatality in Mortal Kombat 11; it isn't violent enough. That's just how the game works but it's still cool seeing a Thanos reference in the game, even if it isn't intentional.

Thanos is playable in Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite, where he possesses a move-set that uses his cosmic powers in a fun and inventive way. Sadly, he doesn't have anything related to The Snap since Capcom didn't know how Avengers: Infinity War was going to play out but he's still a fun character in the game. Or, you could always make Geras look like Thanos if you want, which is possible thanks to the game's customization options.

Honestly, Mortal Kombat 11 is a bit too violent for me but the effort they put into Story Mode and the graphics are top-notch. NetherRealm Studios have proven their worth and we would love to see them work on a Marvel game in the future or, at the very least, a new Injustice game.

Mortal Kombat 11 is now available on PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
