Game of Thrones: Peter Dinklage Slams Disney for 'Backwards' Snow White Remake

Peter Dinklage has always been one actor who always speaks his mind. So it's no surprise that the Game of Thrones star has spoken out about Disney's upcoming live-action adaptation of Snow White and the Seven Dwarves, stating that the House of Mouse continues to have a "backwards" approach in depicting dwarves!

We all know Peter Dinklage as Tyrion Lannister in Game of Thrones, a role that made him a household name. And just like Tyrion, the Avengers: Infinity War star isn't afraid to speak his mind. In a new interview with Marc Maron's WTF podcast, Dinklage tore into Disney, claiming that the studio is hypocritical with its current projects.

"There's a lot of hypocrisy going on," he said. "Literally no offense to anyone, but I was a little taken aback when they were very proud to cast a Latina actress as Snow White. But you're still telling the story of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. Take a step back and look at what you're doing there. It makes no sense to me."

Dinklage added, "You're progressive in one way but then you're still making that f-cking backwards story about seven dwarfs living in a cave together, what the f-ck are you doing man? Have I done nothing to advance the cause from my soap box? I guess I'm not loud enough."

He clarified that he had nothing against Rachel Zegler, who had been cast as Snow White in the project and wished her all the best.

So far, the dwarves in the new Snow White film have not yet been cast. However, Zegler will be joined by Wonder Woman 1984 star Gal Gadot who has been confirmed to play the Evil Queen. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.

Peter Dinklage's latest film Cyrano will hit theaters on January 28, 2022.
