GQ recently wrote a full spread on Chris Hemsworth which covered his amazing career. During the interview, the Extraction 2 star opened up about working on Furiosa and how he initially thought he wouldn't get through the project.

“I came into that film exhausted. I thought, ‘How am I going to get through this?’” Hemsworth admitted. “Week one of rehearsals with [Miller], all of a sudden it was this reigniting of my creative energy.”

He went on to state that Furiosa is, “by far the best experience of my career, and something I feel the most proud of.”

“It made me think, the work isn’t what’s exhausting, it’s what kind of work it is, and how invested I am in it and if it is challenging in the right ways,” Hemsworth added.

Not surprisingly, Hemsworth confirmed he wants to continue working with the Mad Max: Fury Road director.

“I’m on the hunt for more George Millers. Or more of George Miller,” Hemsworth said with a grin. “If he’ll have me.”

In Furiosa, Chris Hemsworth plays the villainous Warlord Dementus. He joins Anya Taylor-Joy, who will portray the younger version of the character originally played by Charlize Theron in the 2015 movie.

The synopsis for Furiosa reads as follows:

"As the world falls, young Furiosa is snatched from the Green Place of Many Mothers and falls into the hands of a great Biker Horde led by the Warlord Dementus.

"Sweeping through the Wasteland they come across the Citadel presided over by Immortan Joe. While the two Tyrants war for dominance, Furiosa must survive many trials as she puts together the means to find her way home."

Furiosa is currently scheduled for release on May 24, 2024.
