UPDATE: Leaked games potentially revealed by Dealabs

Through October 4th, 2021, September PlayStation Plus games are live and free for download.

On PlayStation 4, you have access to Hitman 2 and Predator: Hunting Grounds, and on PlayStation 5 you have access to Overcooked: All You Can Eat. It is important to note, however, that the free PS4 games can be played on PS5 through backward compatibility.

October's PlayStation Plus games have yet to be announced, so we don't have official confirmation. However, PlayStation Plus doesn't usually drop the biggest free games in October and November, as these are the biggest months for new game launches.

Though, the monthly free lineup from Sony can always be hit or miss. In August, PlayStation's free games included Hunter's Arena: Legends, Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville, and Tennis World Tour 2. As you might be able to tell, these didn't impress many gamers.

While free games are hard to predict, often coming in the form of lesser-known titles that are a little older, PlayStation Plus games also have a tendency to skew towards multiplayer experiences. Games that rely on people actually playing them to remain fun are great candidates for giveaways.

Accordingly, realistic WWII shooter Hell Let Loose is releasing on PlayStation on October 5th, 2021, and many suspect the game will be included in PlayStation Plus' October 2021 games lineup as a result. Hell Let Loose received multiple betas on PlayStation and not Xbox, and even though its release looms, it's not available for preorder on PlayStation. This move usually precedes Sony releasing a game on PlayStation Plus.
