Meghan Markle previously made some strong revelations during her time in Deal or No Deal between 2006 and 2007. According to the Duchess of Sussex, she was objectified on the show and was forced to be all looks and little substance. So, after just one year, she decided to quit the game show.

Dina Cerchione Responds To Meghan Markle's Claims About Deal Or No Deal

However, several people who were part of Deal or No Deal have been defending the show and slamming Meghan Markle for her recent comments. Former costume designer Dina Cerchione said that it was a privilege to work on the program.

"I had the privilege to design the looks for Deal or No Deal, for all of the women and, of course, @howiemandel… There was a mission at work to do the best we could, take care of our full team and treat everyone with the respect they earned and deserved," she said (via Page Six).

Former Deal Or No Deal Costume Designer Says Game Show Was A Launchpad For Many

According to Cerchione, being in Deal or No Deal also paved the way for some briefcase girls to be given amazing opportunities. Simply put, the gameshow reportedly served as a launchpad for many.

Former Deal or No Deal briefcase model Claudia Jordan also released a statement saying that the game show never treated her and the other cast members as bimbos.

"This isn't an attack on Meghan cause Lord knows I've been defending this woman in the media for years and I still WILL but I just didn't want any misunderstanding about the climate and environment on the Deal or No Deal set," she wrote on social media.

Meghan Markle Accused Of Always Having A Sob Story By American Columnist Kat Timpf

American columnist Kat Timpf also clapped back at Markle following her recent comments.

"All of her millions and millions of dollars and all the prestige that she has and yet all this person can do is constantly complain. I don't think I've ever heard her say something positive. It's always a sob story, it's very intense. She's never just a little sad. Everything is the worst thing, the worst life. She has to get a grip," she said (via The Hindustan Times).

Whoopi Goldberg also criticized Markle by stressing the fact that she knew what she was signing up for when she auditioned for Deal or No Deal. The Sister Act star also claimed that the program did not necessarily objectify Markle. Rather, the objectification came from her.

"That's what you have to change because we're performers. When you're a performer, you take the gig. Sometimes you're in a bozo suit, sometimes you got a big nose, and this is just the way it is. We're not journalists. We're actors. We're trying to get to another place," Goldberg said.
