First The Boys Season 2 Image Is Bloody And Sorely Missing One Main Character

The second season of The Boys has already begun production and it looks like the Amazon Prime series will continue to revel in blood and gore. However, the first image from Season 2 also shows the sore absence of one of the main characters.

The first photo from The Boys Season 2 was shared by showrunner Eric Kripke and it's exactly what fans would expect from the show's next chapter. Check it out below.

"A small token for #TheBoysTV fans. World's first pic of #Season2. As you can see, we're up to our old tricks. If you haven't seen, JOIN US. Streaming now on @PrimeVideo @TheBoysTV," Kripke wrote. He also added the hashtags #TheBoys and even tagged his other shows #SPN, #SPNFamily, and #Timeless.

The picture shows Frenchie (Tomer Capon), Kimiko/The Female (Karen Fukuhara), Hughie (Jack Quaid), and Mother's Milk (Laz Alonso) with Kripke. All cast members appear to be covered in fake blood, suggesting that their characters continued to fight after their near escape in the first season finale. Sadly, Billy Butcher (Karl Urban) is not in the photo, but that's only because he was left in a completely different location in the episode You Found Me.

It's still unclear what will happen in The Boys Season 2 but Hughie, Frenchie, Mother's Milk, and The Female will surely be on the run from Vought. Meanwhile, Butcher has his own worries to deal with now that it's been revealed that his wife Becca is still alive and has been raising Homelander's son.

The Boys Season 2 has not yet been given an official release date. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
