Final Fantasy VII Remake is Getting a New Trailer This Week During TGS 2019

The Final Fantasy VII Remake is coming out next year but it looks like we'll be getting a brand-new trailer soon. On Twitter, co-director Tetsuya Nomura confirmed that we'll be getting a new Final Fantasy VII Remake trailer on September 12, as part of the Tokyo Game Show. We have an idea of what the trailer will be showing but this is still excellent news for the upcoming video game.

If recent reports are anything to go by, we could be seeing the debut of SHINRA characters like Rufus and The Turks. Nomura already confirmed that we would be seeing them during the Tokyo Game Show but he didn't say in what form. There's a very good chance that this will be in the new trailer but they could always show up in promotional material beforehand, just like Sephiroth.

Considering how Tokyo Game Show is like E3 for Japan, it would make a ton of sense for Square Enix to show off some important Final Fantasy VII material during the event. Why Nomura had to announce the SHINRA characters in advance is a bit disappointing but it won't ruin the reaction people will have when their designs are revealed.

We've seen a lot of great gameplay thus far and there's a lot of things to get excited for, whether it's the dazzling graphics, awesome-looking combat system, or the revamped character designs. I can't wait to see how the game ends, simply because it will only show us what happens during Midgar. That means we won't be seeing characters like Yuffie, Vincent Valentine, or Cait Sith.

Final Fantasy VII Remake is coming to PS4 on March 3, 2020.
