Netflix may have canceled Fate: The Winx Saga, but it will not be the end of the franchise. Creator Iginio Straffi sees a silver lining amid the cancellation, hinting at the continuation of the Bloom and the rest of the fairies’ story.

Straffi shared his reaction to Netflix’s decision to cancel Fate: The Winx Saga in a lengthy post on Instagram. But instead of wallowing in sadness, the animator remains positive and excites fans of the franchise’s future.

Netflix Canceled Fate: The Winx Saga

Netflix announced Fate: The Winx Saga’s cancellation after two seasons on Thursday, November 1.

The show was inspired by the hit Nickelodeon animated series, The Winx Club, which ran for eight seasons.

The streaming giant canceled the show a few days after dropping Fate: The Winx Saga Season 2, though it became the number-one series on the platform two days after its release.

However, according to Variety, having a strong viewership doesn’t necessarily mean a show will be renewed. Netflix didn’t reveal any reason behind the cancellation, but there are claims that it may have something to do with the budget.

Having a magical plot means the show needs a lot of special effects, which can be quite expensive. Hence, it’s not a cheap show to make.
