Fans Are Upset With the Final Fantasy VII Switch Port

It was a dream come true for Nintendo fans when Final Fantasy VII finally came out on the Nintendo Switch recently. The game was notorious for being the first Final Fantasy to not come out on Nintendo systems, which led to a great legacy of other Final Fantasy titles coming to the PlayStation systems. Well, it turns out that this isn't a perfect version of the game as fans have encountered a number of bugs in the Switch version.

According to fans (via NintendoLife), there's an odd bug that has the game's music restart after a battle ends. This might not be a deal-breaker for some but it does make the music feel more repetitive, especially since this was a time when battles happened randomly. Another bug that fans hate involves a quick cut to a black screen after every FMV that plays.

Sadly, these bugs are nothing new to those that have the PS4 version of the game. In fact, even the Final Fantasy IX remaster suffers from this, so these ports are a bit flawed. At the least, they don't render the game unplayable so fans who just want to play through these again should have no problem playing these.

Hopefully, the remasters of Final Fantasy X, X-2, and XII are as good as the PS4 versions.

Fans who don't mind a few bugs can pick up Final Fantasy VII now on Switch, Xbox One, PS4, PC, and even mobile devices.
