Eric Braeden has made a name as a TV actor, best known for his roles as Victor Newman on the long-running CBS soap opera The Young and the Restless.

Aside from his role on The Young and the Restless, which he has done for about four decades already, the 82-year-old star is known for his characters as Hans Dietrich on The Rat Patrol and John Jacob Astor IV in the blockbuster movie Titanic.

He also starred in the 1970 film Colossus: The Forbin Project and did Airwolf with Jan Michael Vincent.

Come 2017, he published his autobiography, I'll Be Damned.

Braeden's net worth is now $25 million, thanks to his successful TV and movie career and other endeavors.

Eric Braeden Makes a Major Health Revelation

Meanwhile, Braeden made a major health revelation about his cancer diagnosis during a 13-minute Facebook Live session Friday, April 21.

The vet actor said he experienced prostate issues while recovering from recent knee-replacement surgery when his doctor told him about his cancer diagnosis.

"I hate to be this personal, but I think this may be good for some older guys who may or may not listen to this," Braeden stated.

High-grade cancer cells were seen near his bladder while he was visiting his doctors for prostate issues before undergoing a Urolift.

He's now undergoing treatment for high-grade cells with a six-week immunotherapy treatment plan.

Braeden added he continues to exercise during treatment, but he must stop for now.

"I've learned now to listen to my body more, and not go all out," he explained.

"So, if you've seen me a little under the weather, yeah, I have been, but I will lick this," he continued. "This bastard ain't going to get me, I'm going to get it. I'll be in top form again soon."

Eric Braeden to Continue Acting

Despite Braeden's Cancer diagnosis, he has no plans to stop.

"I love acting. I entertain people. I love your support," he said, starting to get emotional.

"So, whenever you have someone in the family who goes through this, support them," he added. "It can work out. Nowadays, there is so much advancement in cancer treatment you can survive it."
