Elemental Release Date: When Will the Movie Come Out?
Extremely close to the heart of the creator of the upcoming Pixar movie, Elemental is finally arriving on the big screen after seven years of hard work on the production of the movie!
Elemental is slated for a theatrical release on June 16, 2023!

Elemental Cast: Who are the Actors Included in the Movie?
Meet the residents of Element City in the upcoming Pixar movie, Elemental, which will introduce the anthropomorphic world of the elements of nature in an extraordinary story of love and inspiration.
Leah Lewis voices Ember Lumen who is a fiery woman with the toughness and wits of being a fire element.
Mamoudou Athie voices Wade Ripple, as his namesake, he is a water element who is always going with the flow.
Voicing other characters are Ronnie Del Carmen as the bigoted father of Ember, Bernie Lumen; Shila Ommi as the opinionated mother of Ember, Cindy Lumen; and Mason Wertheimer as Clod who is the earth element neighbor of Ember.
Also in the voice cast are Wendy McLendon-Covey as Gale, the employer of Wade who has a big personality as an air element; Catherine O'Hara as Brook Ripple, mother of Wade, and Joe Pera as Fern Grouchwood, an earth element bureaucrat.
The voice of Wade's father, Alan Ripple, is not yet revealed.

Elemental Crew: Who are the Creative Minds Behind the Scene?
Peter Sohn is the man behind Elemental who worked for seven years to bring the movie to the big screens after the release of The Good Dinosaur.
The inspiration of Elemental is the youth of Sohn, himself, as a son of immigrants in New York City. He wrote the story and directed the movie.
Along with Sohn in the story of Elemental are John Hoberg, Kat Likkel, and Brenda Hsueh.
Pixar animation veteran Thomas Newman composes the musical score of Elemental with Denise Ream as the producer of the movie.
The directing animator at Pixar, Gwendelyn Enderoglu, shared on Twitter, “I am the animation buddy for Ember. I partnered with our character team in pre-production, working to find Ember’s visual appeal in 3D and testing her animation controls to make sure she was ready for the animators in production."
Elemental was first announced in 2022 with Sohn introducing the concept of anthropomorphic elements of nature as the main characters of the movie.
Sohn also shared that the inspiration of the movie is personal to him.
Sohn revealed, via The Hollywood Reporter, “I am quite emotional about getting the characters and the story out for sure. This movie is about thanking your parents and understanding their sacrifices. My parents both passed away during the making of this thing.”
Elemental Plot: What Will Be the Plot of the Movie?
The official synopsis of Elemental is as follows:
"In a city where fire, water, land and air residents live together, a fiery young woman and a go-with-the-flow guy are about to discover something elemental: how much they actually have in common."
Elemental has the elements of nature living together in Element City and Ember and Wade are the opposites, one of fire and the other of water.
In real life, these elements cannot coincide but the story of Elemental will show how they have a lot in common.
Speaking with D23: The Official Disney Fan Club, Sohn expounded on the story of Elemental, “The concept of the city itself started off with Ember."
"We thought, ‘What’s the best city we can build to support Ember’s journey of identity and belonging?’ It started by thinking about a city that would be hard for fire, and so we based it off of water,” Sohn revealed.
Sohn added, "The idea is that Water got to this area first, and then Earth came, so it became a delta. Then, they built a water infrastructure with water canals and elevated water channels everywhere, making it even tougher for Ember. Then, Air came in after that, and Fire was one of the last groups to come into the city.”
Sohn further explained, "We wanted to create a good introduction to Ember and Wade’s possible relationship. There’s a little drop on Ember’s hand to remind you, ‘Oh, yeah, they can’t mix very well.’ It’s a subtle thing, but there’s a little smile at the end; there’s something there. What is that? It’s just a tease.”
Elemental is set to present some cultural influences as Sohn revealed to ComicBook.com, "Once people started asking, 'Oh, are they Asian?' It was like, no, they're not meant to be Asian. Or 'is Air meant to be this culture?'
Sohn took note, "Quickly I realized that no, these have to be universal. My biggest goal was to try to take the element itself and pull from there to make the culture."
Where to Watch Elemental?
Elemental is set for a theatrical release on June 16, 2023 and being a Pixar movie, it is also expected to be released on Disney Plus soon after the movie comes out in cinemas, even in 3D!

Is There a Trailer for Elemental?
Yes! Elemental has a trailer already and it features Ember, the movie's heroine, who is a fire element trying to fit in her world.
She's quite ominous, tough, seen in a hoodie with her headphones.
There, she meets Wade, the water element who just goes with the flow.
Being opposites, they start to build an uncanny friendship where their beliefs in the world they live in would be challenged.
In their brooding relationship, they find out that no matter how opposite they are in their nature, they actually have a lot of things in common.
