Elden Ring Minimum Requirements Are Surprising

Elden Ring is coming this month, but gamers may want to check out the game's full PC system requirements before purchasing FromSoftware's highly-anticipated action RPG.

Today, Bandai Namco has revealed Elden Ring's full PC system requirements for minimum and recommended hardware.

The specs confirm Steam's listing for the minimum required, including the bigger-than-expected 12GB of RAM. The recommended specs are higher, of course, asking for 16GB to run the RPG as intended, alongside Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070 or AMD Radeon RX 56 graphics card, and an Intel Core I7-8700K or AMD Ryzen 5 3600X processor.

It's noted that these specs are "valid for launch day and may be updated in the future."

The steam page for Elden Ring updated to include the minimum requirements to run the PC version of the game. The specs surprised some fans who are excited to play the RPG due to the hefty requirements: an Intel Core i5-8400 or AMD Ryzen 3 3300X for the CPU, and an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 or AMD Radeon RX 580 as the graphics card.

The minimum requirements of Elden Ring are far more demanding than previous FromSoftware games. It's surprising to see that the minimum PC requirement asked is 12GB of RAM. While this is not considered an issue for the majority of PC gamers, many systems still run with 8GB of RAM.

At the time of this writing, Elden Ring's minimum PC system requirements have since been removed from the game's Steam page.
