EA Announces New Plants vs Zombies Game and is (Sort of) Available Now

Somehow, someway, EA's Plants vs Zombies franchise continues to thrive and is still one of the more addictive games out right now. The game has received several spinoff titles and a series of console games that have online multiplayer, which have also proven to be a hit. Today, EA has decided to surprise everyone by announcing Plants vs Zombies: Battle for Neighborville for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

The best part? It's available now. For a price (literally).

While EA is claiming that the game will be released for everyone on October 18, those that want to check it now can do so by purchasing Plants vs Zombies: Battle for Neighborville Founder's Edition. This is a digital-only package that can be purchased for $29.99 and will only be available until September 30.

It's not just early access since players will be rewarded with exclusive weekly rewards until the game "officially" comes out out October 18. If you're not interested in getting it early, the main version that will come out is only $10 more and has the same features, like the new character classes and the ability to customize them.

Most people are probably used to the tower defense-like version of the game and might get intimidated by the third-person shooter version on consoles and PC. Still, Battle for Neighborville is gorgeous and looks really fun to play, so if you're curious, but that Founder's Edition.
