New Dragon Ball: The Breakers Video Game is Coming in 2022

Today, publisher Bandai Namco has announced a new Dragon Ball video game, and a trailer has been released to reveal its asymmetrical action gameplay that pits 7 survivors against one Raider. While most Dragon Ball video games are known for their fighting mechanics, Dragon Ball: Breakers is more like the popular horror game Dead by Daylight because of its asymmetrical survival gameplay.

In Dragon Ball: The Breakers, seven players will take the role of survivors while one player will be the Raider, who is tasked with killing the survivors while the survivors attempt to break out the Temporal Seam that they're trapped within. As you can see in the trailer below, the game features familiar characters like Oolong and Bulma as well as the iconic villain Cell.

Bandai Namco hasn't revealed much details for Dragon Ball: The Breakers, but the company has revealed that it will soon release a closed beta version of the game for the PC to let fans try the game. However, they haven't announced when this beta will be released.

"Caught in an unexpected temporal phenomenon, seven ordinary citizens find themselves stranded in a Temporal Seam: they share their imprisonment with the Raider, a menacing enemy from another timeline with an overwhelming power," says an official description of Dragon Ball: The Breakers from Bandai Namco. "Their only hope for survival is to break out from the Temporal Seam with the Super Time Machine, but the Raider is on their tracks and becomes stronger by the minute. In a race against time the cunning of Survivors clashes with the power of the Raider, to break free or be broken."
