Doom Patrol Fans Enraged By Cancellation Reports

A lot of fans of HBO Max’s Doom Patrol are enraged amid several reports that the series could be cancelled by Warner Bros. Discovery as they continue to rebrand DC. As of now, Doom Patrol is not cancelled, and the reports were clear that there has been no decision made, but it is different from earlier reports that suggested that Titans and Doom Patrol were considered safe from Warner Bros’ ax. The series has been trending on Twitter since a report emerged that Titans and Doom Patrol were likely to get canceled.

Given how The CW’s DC’s Legends of Tomorrow already got cancelled, and given the happenings at HBO Max, a lot of fans had fears about Doom Patrol even before Batgirl was cancelled and a "revitalization" of the DC brand was known to be a priority for the CEO of WBD David Zaslav. As of now, the studio has pushed back on some speculations, claiming that Green Lantern Corps and Supergirl are still in development, but are being slowed down to accommodate the rebranding happening in Warner Bros. Discovery.

Still, the reports regarding Doom Patrol’s fate have not escaped the attention of fans. Because of this, it has sparked a lot of enraged comments. You can see some of the comments of the fans following the news that Doom Patrol is "on the chopping block" below.

Doom Patrol was released as a kind of spinoff to Titans. Some of the actors who appeared on titans didn’t carry over to Doom Patrol, and it seems like the two series don’t really share a continuity. For the enthusiasts of shared universes, the team did appear briefly in Crisis on Infinite Earths and is set to release a spinoff titled Dead Boy Detectives, assuming that the series will not get cancelled.
